I woke up the next morning and went to wake JT. He was still very much asleep when I opened the door. "Time to get up and get started JT." I said. The boy moved and groaned but made no attempt to open his eyes or to acknowledge me.
I walked across the room and pulled the covers off of him. He snapped awake. "I said it is time to get up JT." I said more forcefully. He got up and stood in front of me. "Turn around JT." I ordered. The boy complied. I reached out and lifted his T-Shirt with one hand while I pulled his underwear down with the other hand. JT just stood there. I inspected his bottom and found it to be still quite red and sore looking.
"Let's go have breakfast and then we will start your day." I said. We walked out and I made breakfast. Afterward he helped me clear the dishes off the table. "Now JT go get dressed. You have ten minutes. If you fail to appear in my study before your time is up you will incur a severe penalty." JT went off to get dressed.
JT arrived in my study just under the time limit. "You sure know how to cut it close don't you JT?" I said not expecting a response. I reviewed JT's remaining assessment tests and found them all to be fifteen minute tests.
"Here is your first test of the day. I expect you will do better than you did last night because if you don't there will be a much more severe penalty. Do you understand me?" JT indicated that he did indeed understand. I handed him the test, noted the time, and told him to begin. The boy worked diligently and when he completed the test he handed it to me. He had failed to check it over and so he had made three very careless errors.
"You made three errors resulting in three incorrect answers. This will not go unpunished." I told him. I handed him another test warning him to be more careful this time. This time he was so careful he did not finish the test.
"It is one thing or another with you JT. You are undisciplined. That will change before summer's end." I said. JT had one more test to go. At the end of this one he would have his first punishment session of the day.
I handed him the final test and told him to work quickly but carefully. He did exactly as I told him to but still did not check over his work before handing it in. He made two mistakes.
"JT report to your bedroom. I will be there in ten minutes." I told him. The boy turned on his heels and quickly exited the room. I could hear the door to his bedroom close.
I sat at my desk contemplating how I would punish him this time. It was obvious that my hand on his bare bottom had no effect.
After five minutes I stood up and walked over to a drawer. This was the drawer where I kept a very special leather belt. I took the belt out of the drawer and then headed for JT's room.
I arrived and opened the door to find JT sitting on his bed. I entered and closed the door behind me even though we were the only two in the house. I walked over to JT and kneeled down in front of him.
"JT you are going to be punished for failing to work quickly and accurately at the same time this morning. Do you understand?" JT nodded.
"Good now stand up JT." I said standing up myself. JT stood up and I immediately began to remove his clothes.
