NOTE: If you haven't read Beginning Again Parts 1, 2 & 3 you should. It gives all the background on this latest set of stories. From time to time I will write stories that are only about one of the four children. Sometimes I will write about all of them. This is one of the times when all of them will be wrote in. Enjoy, if you have any comments or suggestions please write to me. Thanks.

After the grounding that resulted from the events in Beginning Again Parts 1, 2 & 3 the boys managed to go quite a while without getting any major discipline. Of course there were the single slaps to the boys' bottoms that would be given from time to time for very minor infractions of my rules. However, all good things must come to an end and they did. The circumstances of that day follows.

It was a Saturday in the summertime which was special for me. While the boys had every day off from school I still had to work. My regular work week was Monday through Friday first shift and weekends off. When I got the boys I specifically requested that I work first shift and that I have weekends off. The department accomodated me nicely which I appreciated. Anyway, I'm getting off course.

On this particular Saturday I got up about 6:30 AM to spend some quiet time by myself. Usually during this time I would read my Bible and pray. After completing that I would get up and begin to make breakfast. My boys and I always had the same thing every Saturday morning, PANCAKES. My boys loved them and it became a quick tradition because it really was the only morning of the week that I could sit down and have breakfast with them.

I always started my coffee first. Sometimes if we hadn't gone out to a movie or something I would put the coffee in the night before and put the water in so all I had to do was turn on the coffee maker. Most of the time we did go do the movie thing or a high school sporting event so I would just come home and put the boys to bed. This morning was no different. So I pulled the can of coffee out of the cupboard and measured out the amount necessary into a filter and then put the filter in the machine. Then I took the pot and measured the water into the top of it. I put the pot back in its place and flipped the button to on.

Then I got out all my ingredients for pancake batter. I started putting things into the bowl then mixed it up. I pulled out the griddle and got the grease and greased it. I plugged it in and turned it to high. When it got hot I went to get my boys up before putting on the first one. I went to David's room first. I opened the door and looked in on him. He was still sleeping soundly so I quietly went over to him and gently shook him. "David, honey its time to get up for pancakes." He opened his eyes and looked at me. He smiled and said, "hi daddy." I pulled the covers back and again shook him. "Come on David. Get up." He did and then I said, "Go get Shawn in his chair. I'll get Josh and Cody." I turned to leave the room and then remembered, "Oh never mind David just get yourself ready and out for breakfast. I'll get Shawn."

I did this because I had put Shawn in a diaper the night before and I did not want David to know that his little brother sometimes wore a diaper to bed. That was the same reason I usually got Josh up. "Ok dad." David said. He pulled on the day before's Jeans and a T-Shirt and exited the room. "Do you want me to get Cody?" I thought and said, "Yes David that would be very helpful."

Secretly David knew that Shawn and Josh wore diapers. It did not bother him but he understood his dad not wanting to embarrass them by having their older brother get them up. He went to get Cody up. I exited the room and went first to Josh's room.

In the same way I had with David I opened the door and entered the room. Josh was laying on his stomach and I gently shook him awake. I pulled the covers back and said, "Time to get up Josh." He lifted his head and grunted at me. Without any warning I rolled him over.

TO BE CONTINUED.... (Sorry got interrupted)
